Kuma Cottage is a unique log house located in the lower Hirafu Village area of Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan.
The house is 3 stories including one basement level, with a high celling atrium in the living area.

There are many Restaurants, Bars and an Onsen (hot spring) within walking/stumbling distance. The nearest Ski lift is a 10-15min walk (with ski boots on!), but the Free shuttle bus route is under 1min walk. Kuma Cottage is the ideal holiday house for both summer and winter holidays.

If you like to stay in sterile condos resembling high security prisons, Kuma Cottage is not your egg. If, on the other hand, you prefer to stay in a place that oozes charm and character providing the perfect winter wonderland atmosphere, Kuma Cottage is just the chestnut for you!!!

Located in the lower tranche of Hirafu Village, Kuma Cottage is moments away from some of the very best restaurants and bars in Niseko, Ebisu-Tei and Bar Moon to name 2 of our favourites. It is under 1min walk to the free shuttle bus, and a leisurely 10mins strole to The Vale. Onsen Yukoro is so close you could walk there in just your towel (but please don’t do that, there are very specific codes of conduct to follow in Japan).

With 2 large bedrooms it perfectly accommodates a family of 4-6 or a group of well acquainted, well behaved humans.

The basement houses the bathroom and separate toilet as well as the washing machine and is where ski equipment is stored (never upstairs please) and is used when going or coming back from skiing and boarding.

The kitchen is well equiped with everything one needs to prepare meals and unlike any other rental property in Niseko (we have ever found) it boasts an original, authentic irori (Google search that puppy) decorated with genuine Ainu garb and even a smoked fish!!!

There are no doubts in our minds that if you think exactly like we do, you will absolutely love Kuma Cottage. It really is an ee tomago (a good egg)!!!

We hope your decision to stay fills you with great happiness.
